Building Across Borders: Nigeria Is the Foundation, Not the Ceiling
BOF began in Abuja. The problems we work on do not stop at the border, and neither should the response. A note on where the Foundation is heading.

The Ben Orgenda Foundation was established in Abuja in 2025. Every programme we run today operates in Nigeria. That is a starting position, not a boundary.
Why the framing matters
Youth unemployment, informal enterprise, and unequal access to exam preparation are not Nigerian problems. They are continental ones with local texture. A programme designed for Jos will not transplant unchanged to Accra or Kampala — but the structure underneath it can.
Local depth first, continental reach second. In that order, or neither works.
What we are building toward
- Programme frameworks documented well enough to be adapted, not merely copied.
- Research output that holds beyond a single national context.
- Partnerships with organisations already embedded in their own communities.
What has not changed
We are not expanding for the sake of a map. Every new context has to be earned by demonstrated depth in the last one. Nigeria remains where the work is proven.
